The DELRAY BEACH OPEN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS, held January 21 – 23, 2017, is organized by Players International Management (PIM), the staff that hosts the Delray Beach Open (world’s only combined 10-day ATP World Tour Event and ATP Champions Tour Event). This newly created USTA National Level 3 event consists of nationally-ranked participants competing in the Boys and Girls 14s age division. Click here for draws, results and match times. DOUBLES DEADLINE & INFO
The doubles deadline is Thursday, January 12, 2017 @ 5pm (EST).
If you have a partner (both players must agree to play with each other), please email the team (and division) to Adam Baron at ABaron@YellowTennisBall.com (make sure to get a confirmation email).
If we do not hear from you before the deadline date, we will NOT place you in the doubles draw. If you do not have a partner, and would like to be paired with another player, please email ABaron@YellowTennisBall.com (make sure you receive an email confirmation)– we will do our best to pair you with another player (with a similar ranking).
There will NOT be a 3/4 Playoff in doubles.
IMPORTANT: Doubles take place BEFORE their singles matches on Day 1. Make sure to double-check your start times and site abbreviations. In addition, a player can only play doubles in the same division as they are playing singles.

Forms: All players are required to fill out the following Release & Waiver and PIM Contact forms before playing in the event. Please fill out the forms, have them signed by the appropriate player &/or guardian and turn them in upon check in. Having these forms prepared beforehand, will greatly speed up check-in times and match times. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT THESE FORMS TO OUR OFFICE PRIOR TO CHECK IN. Extra forms will be available at check in.
Athletic Trainer: Will be based at Delray Beach Swim & Tennis Club. If you need their assistance, please go to those facilities to make arrangements. They will be on-site 15-30 minutes before the first matches of the day. Beginning Saturday, January 21, 2017, Courts are 1st-come, 1st-serve. Players may not reserve courts. Delray Swim & Tennis Club (Sat – Mon.): 10-16 courts (7:30am – 8:15am), 2+ (8:15am – dark).
FORMAT/DRAW SIZE/DRAWS POSTED
Both singles and doubles will include NO-AD scoring (similar to collegiate tennis)
Singles: Best of three tie-break sets with a 10-point tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set. Feed-in consolation draw (through the Round of 16). Quarter-final losers will be fed into a separate consolation draw to play for 5th and 6th place. Semi-final losers will play for 3rd and 4th place.
Doubles: Single elimination. 6-game set with 7-point Tiebreak at 6-games all (no-ad scoring, similar to College Tennis). There will be no 3/4 Playoff.
Draw Size: Singles (32-draw), Doubles (16-team)

SCHEDULE (WEATHER PENDING) & REST PERIOD
Day 1: One Doubles, Two Main Draw Singles, one consolation singles
Day 2: Two Main Draw Singles, two consolation singles, Quarterfinal Playoff consolation, two doubles
Day 3: Finals & 3/4 Playoff (Main Draw), two consolation singles, Quarterfinal Playoff consolation, doubles (Finals)
Maximum matches per day: Four matches per day as long as two of four matches are doubles… Exception: Three singles matches may be played in special circumstances (i.e. weather).
Rest period between matches.
*For matches consisting of a 10-point match tiebreak for the 3rd set, players get a minimum of 1 hour rest.
*Doubles to singles, players get 30 minutes rest.
*Doubles to doubles, players get 30 minutes rest.
Players must check-in and be prepared to play no later than 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled match of the event in which they are an alternate. The order of the original alternates list will be used.
Players that are defaulted because of lateness, will be replaced in the draw if an on-site alternate is checked in and available to play
On-site Alternates may be admitted into the singles (or doubles) main draw to replace withdrawing players of players matches
