Becks “Making a Racquet”
at the Delray Beach ITC
Bands interested in auditioning for the 2009 “Making a Racquet” Local Music Search presented by Beck’s should contact John Butler at (561) 330 6000 or JButler@YellowTennisBall.com. Preliminary events will be held Friday, January 23, 2009 at City Limits (Rock & Alternative), Saturday, January 24 at Elwood’s (Jazz & Blues), Friday, January 30 at Bru’s Room (Jam & Folk) and Saturday, January 31 at Dada (Ragga Surf). A panel of judges at each event will nominate the bands who will move on to play on the Becks Main Stage at the 2009 Delray Beach International Tennis Championships (ITC), February 21 – March 1. In addition to performing in front of the 50,000 fans who jam the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center, the bands’ music will be highlighted in the tournament’s national and international TV broadcast seen in more than 200 countries and featured in the 2009 “Making a Racquet” CD compilation designed, produced, marketed and distributed by the Delray Beach ITC.
