Tennis Balls, Beach Balls, Golf Balls…Gold Balls! The 52nd annual USTA Boys’ 18 & 16 Clay Court National Championships is returning to Delray Beach, Florida, July 14 – 21, 2019, and you are cordially invited to attend. These sacred surfaces by the seashore have played host to some of the most storied matches in our great game— The Lipton (Miami Open), Virginia Slims Championships, Davis Cup, Fed Cup, Sunshine Cup, Continental Cup and the Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com —events where tennis’ living legends like Federer, Delpo, Roddick, the Bryans, Grigor, Marin, Blake, Andre, Moya, Guga, Mac, Serena, Venus, Lindsey, Cash, Chrissie, Gabby, Steffi, Mats and more, have paved the way, left their ball marks and carried on rich tennis tradition. And to thicken the plot for our future stars we’d like to announce…

Both 18’s Singles finalists will receive complimentary entry into the November Survivor Series ATP Pre-Qualifying event (where the winner receives a Wildcard into the 2019 Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com ATP World Tour Qualifying tournament). Additionally, the USTA will award the 18’s Singles WINNER a Singles Main Draw Wildcard at the US Open Juniors & a Singles Main Draw Wildcard into a USTA Futures Event. The 16’s Singles WINNER will receive a Singles Main Draw Wildcard at a USTA Futures Pro Circuit Event (players must be age eligible)

 

COLLEGE EXPO & FORUM

 

You are cordially invited to attend and participate in the 2019 COLLEGE EXPO. Offering a personal opportunity to meet the country’s best players, their families and junior coaches, the Expo will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2019, 11:00am-1:00pm at The Boca Raton Resort & Club; 501 East Camino Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432. If you would like a table at the College Expo to showcase your university and/or a copy of the Player Bio Book featuring all relevant contact, academic and athletic background information on the tournaments’ players, click here, fill out the information and either FAX this form to (561) 330-6001 or EMAIL it to Nicholas Battistini at nbattistini@YellowTennisBall.com. Attending our tournament is FREE, however we do ask that you fill out this form even if you are only attending the tournament and do not desire a table or the Player Bio Book. Programs participating in the 2019 College Expo include stalwart tennis and academic programs such as Boston University, Bryant University, California Institute of TechnologyCarnegie Mellon, George Washington University,Kenyon College, Presbyterian College, Villanova University and Wesleyan University.

Following the College Expo, the event will host a COLLEGE FORUM featuring college coaches participating in a Q & A session with topics including the Transition from Junior Tennis to Collegiate Tennis. All players, parents and coaches welcome. Ask questions about the recruiting process, scholarships, what coaches look for, etc. The following speakers will be present:

  1. Paul Tobin, Associate Head Coach Penn State Men’s Tennis. Going on his 7th year at Penn State University, Coach Tobin has been instrumental in the success of the program, reaching a year end ranking of #32, #3 in the BIG 10 and reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Coach Tobin has been involved in all aspects of the tennis industry, and is also the developer of SlingHopper Drill Bags. Coach Tobin has extensive knowledge in all aspects of recruiting and is asked to speak at many tournaments and recruiting functions.
  2. Michael Belmonte, Head Coach Carnegie Mellon University Men’s Tennis. Mike Belmonte began his 11-year tenure with the Carnegie Mellon tennis program in 2008, as a part-time assistant. In 2017, he was elevated to head men’s tennis coach, after serving as the associate head men’s and women’s tennis coach since 2015. In his first year as head coach, Belmonte led the program to a final national ranking of #10, after the team advanced to the third round of the NCAA Championships. Belmonte’s 2019 recruiting class is ranked #1 in Division III, according to tennisrecruiting.net.
  3. Bradley Adams, Head Coach Villanova Men’s Tennis. The 2018-19 season marked the 12th year at Villanova for Brad Adams, as the Head Men’s Tennis Coach. Last regular season, the Wildcats finished the regular season 12-11 under Adams’ guidance. Along the way in the regular season the Wildcats picked up significant victories over Navy, Lehigh, Saint Joseph’s, Xavier, and UCSD. During his time at Villanova, Adams has coached three players who has been named to the All Big East Conference Team. Over the past ten years Adams has served as a PTR Professional at Berlin Voorhees Tennis Center and currently serves as the Director of High School and Intermediate Tennis for the Delaware Valley Tennis Academy.
