COHEN WINS SURVIVOR SERIES I EVENT
South African Gets Wildcard Into 2015 Qualifying Tournament

DELRAY BEACH: Lance Cohen, a 26-year-old with a dream of making tennis his professional career, won the Survivor I pre-qualifying tournament on Monday at the Delray Beach Swim & Tennis Club.
The No. 2 seeded Cohen beat 19-year-old Ugo Santomenna of Delray Beach 6-2, 7-5 to advance to the Delray Beach Open by The Venetian’s qualifying tournament, which will be played Feb. 14-16 at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center.
The South African has been in Florida for a month, and will be playing in upcoming Futures events to improve his ranking. He was a 2004 Pan Am Maccabi Games gold medalist as a junior tennis player, and won a bronze medal in doubles in the 2005 Maccabi Games.
