Delray Beach Open Announces Collaboration with Woo Creative
Delray Beach Creative Agency Rebrands International Tennis Tournament
Delray Beach, Fla. (January 28, 2014) – The Delray Beach Open is proud to announce its partnership with Woo Creative as the official marketing and branding firm for the 2014 tennis tournament. The inventive team at Woo Creative has created marketing materials for both print and web in preparation for the 2014 Delray Beach Open, kicking off on Valentine’s Day/President’s Day weekend and running through February 23.
“Working with the Delray Beach Open is a perfect fit for our company,” said Ryan Boylston, founder and CEO of Woo Creative. “It’s the premier Delray Beach event and it needed to look the part. We accomplished this by rebranding the event, and applying an evolutionary approach to their creative.”
This year marks the second consecutive year that Woo Creative has been a part of the Delray Beach Open as both a collaborator and a sponsor. The 7-person group entered the project in 2014 with fresh ideas for the 10-day tournament, and faced the unique challenge of rebranding the tournament as the Delray Beach Open from its previous title, the International Tennis Championships.
“The hiring of Woo Creative continues the tournament’s commitment to working with local businesses and showing off the rich talent in Delray Beach and Palm Beach County,” said tournament Executive Director John Butler. “Woo Creative has excelled in the presentation of the event to both a local and global marketplace.”
The Delray Beach-based company designs and produces original projects for a diverse client list, ranging from Arts Garage locally to Harbourside Place, located in Jupiter. The innovative team works harmoniously to generate ideas that alter perceptions and generates solutions that push past the status quo.
The Delray Beach Open By the Venetian® Las Vegas is the only ATP tournament in the world featuring an ATP Champions Tour event and an ATP World Tour event in the same week at the same venue. This year’s opening weekend features the all-new Super Sunday—an event the includes all six ATP Champions Tour stars, an “American” group consisting of Roddick, Boca Raton’s own Aaron Krickstein and two-time Delray Beach ATP World Tour champion Jan-Michael Gambill, and an “International” group including 2001 Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanesevic, Hall of Famer Mats Wilander and former French Open finalist Mikael Pernfors. The ATP World Tour tournament features the world’s all-time No. 1 doubles team, the Bryan Brothers and ATP World Tour singles headliners John Isner, Kei Nishikori, Marcos Baghdatis, Tommy Haas and Janko Tipsarevic. Attendees will witness past and future tennis legends as they take the court, hear up and coming musical artists, and be able to cheer on the world’s only promotional team tied to tennis, the VolleyGirls. They advertise in cryptic fashion, and won’t work with just anyone. Instead, they prefer to hand pick their clients in a unique and flat-out inscrutable manner. “We help companies we like and we like companies we help.” Every company should have a brand consultant, a few graphic designers, a writer and a marketing department.
