[frame align=”left”]survivor_series[/frame]DELRAY BEACH: The Delray Beach Open by The Venetian is making its annual shout-out to tennis players in the community to play in the first of two “Survivor Series” singles qualifying wildcard tournaments.

And for the first time in its history, the ATP event is also holding a “Survivor Series” doubles main draw wildcard tournament during the same “Survivor Series I” weekend. Both “Survivor I” tournaments are scheduled for Dec. 6 – 9 at the Delray Swim & Tennis Club.

The ultimate prize? To play in an ATP event – the highest level of professional tennis.

“Survivor Series I and II” singles winners (“Survivor Series II is scheduled for Jan. 24-26, 2015) receive wildcards into the 32-player singles qualifying tournament of the 2015 Delray Beach Open by The Venetian. That qualifying tournament is scheduled for February 14-16 at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center, where the top four finishers move on to the main draw of the $540,000 ATP World Tour event.

The winning team of the “Survivor Series I” doubles tournament (minimum of 32 teams) receives a wild card directly into the 16-team doubles main draw of the Delray Beach Open. Not only could the winning “Survivors” eventually find themselves across the net from the world No. 1 Bryan Brothers, but they also earn a minimum of $2,300 in prize money, complimentary hotel accommodations, official Porsche transportation, player credentials and meals.

The deadline to enter both “Survivor I” competitions – singles and doubles – is Wednesday, December 3, by 11:59 pm EST. For more information on entering, click here.
